Refund Policy for Rebuild and Rise

Rebuild and Rise deeply appreciates your generous contributions and your unwavering support for our mission to make a difference. Our organizational budget and ongoing financial health depend on receiving and accounting for irrevocable, non-refundable donations from our valued donors. Therefore, we consider all donations to Rebuild and Rise as nonrefundable.

However, we do recognize that exceptional circumstances may arise. Rebuild and Rise may review and process refund requests, but only under limited circumstances described below.

Error or Change of Mind

If you made an error with your donation or changed your mind about supporting Rebuild and Rise, we encourage you to contact us at michael.hanks@rebuildandrise1.org. Refund requests must be made within ninety (90) days of the original donation date. We will carefully evaluate your request to determine if a refund is warranted.

Conditions for Refund

Refunds may only be issued at the discretion of Rebuild and Rise.
Proof of identity (e.g., a government-issued ID or payment confirmation) may be required before processing any refund.
Refunds will be processed using the original method of payment. For instance, refunds for credit card donations will be credited back to the same account.

Tax Implications

Please consult with a tax professional regarding any possible tax implications of a refunded donation. It is the donor’s responsibility to address any tax considerations that may arise.

Large Gifts and Agreements

For significant contributions or large gifts, Rebuild and Rise requires a standard agreement form that outlines the terms of the donation, including our refund policy. Donors will receive a copy of this agreement upon completion.

For large gifts, we also include a “gift-over clause” in the agreement, allowing donors to request the transfer of their gift to another organization if there is a clear belief that the original gift has been misused.
